Ocean Conservation

I grew up being passionate about nature and the environment. My parents couldn’t keep me away from the water before I could even walk! In 1999 I was selected to go on a leadership trail experience in Umfolozi Game Reserve. That was the beginning of my desire to change mindsets and cultures to protect and maintain our environment. I want my children and my children’s children to be able to experience the gift of nature and the animals that inhabit the earth and sea that I have had the privilege to experience.

Water is essential to life and the ocean is no exception. This video clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM6txLtoaoc will show more than words can express on the power and importance of the ocean and our need to conserve it.

Breathe is a non profit organisation focused on partnering with like minded organisations to create awareness of plastic pollution and start projects to encourage education around the topic of plastic pollution amongst other conservation issues.

Breathe has already partnered with 'A Plastic Ocean' and is the first organisation to screen the plastic ocean documentary in South Africa. Breathe has worked with 'I am Water' 'Four Elements Conservation' The Dominoe foundation, 'surfers not street children and 'zoe life already in various projets promoting beach clean ups, education and exposure to the ocean.
